      I got the microbe from another research group that had already separated it from the poo. I think most labs which do work with the microbe do something similar.

      There is a stockpile of all the different types of the microbe I work with. The source they got it from could be environmental (so from soil or water) or clinical (from a person sick with the disease caused by the microbe.
