The trails that planes leave behind them are actually basically miniature clouds. They form when the exhaust gases that come out of the back of the plane hit the cold air that you get that high up in the sky. Like clouds, these trails are made of tiny water droplets. So they’re nothing much to worry about. But aeroplanes do cause pollution. For example, you get a lot of cars driving to the airport which gets pollution into the air and aeroplanes taking off make a lot of noise (noise pollution).
