• Question: how would you feel if turtles were extinced

      I would feel very sad if turtles were to become extinct 🙁

      They are very gentle, graceful creatures and it would be horrible if they disappeared because of humans.

      Fortunately, there are lots of people that feel like me and they try very hard to make sure the turtles are looked after. When I swam with the turtles on the Great Barrier Reef, I was stopping on a tiny island called Lady Elliot Island. One evening some baby turtles hatched, but instead of going out to sea like they should have done, they came inland instead. A marine biologist that worked on the island collected them all up, made sure that they were all healthy, and then let us release the baby turtles back into the sea. They were really tiny and so cute! I really hope that those little are still swimming around now 🙂
