      The most active volcano on Earth is Stromboli in Italy. It has been erupting for over 2,000 years! Stromboli erupts a few times every hour. You can see a video of Stromboli erupting here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VvINiu-qPns

      Other volcanoes may be dormant for thousands of years before erupting again – so long in fact that people don’t even know if they are volcanoes! When these types of volcanoes erupt they are one big series of explosions that can go on for hours, or days.
