      Hi chocorainbows12,

      Great question!

While it is true that there are some big differences between the brains of humans and animals, they are actually more alike than you might think.

All brains are made up of the same building blocks – tiny cells called neurones. The neurones of flies, fish, lizards and humans all work in a very similar way and there are brains areas in animals that work the same in all animals, from mice to humans.

Although humans are the only animals to be able to talk like we do, animals are definitely able to communicate in other ways.

We also know that animals can tell when they’re in a place where they should be scared, or a place where they might get food and are able to change how they act because of this.

So yes, in many ways, animals and humans do think alike 🙂
