• Question: What do you think is the most interesting thing about Science?

      I think the most interesting thing about science is that it is always changing. I usually get to do different things everyday. While I might repeat an experiment, I don’t keep on doing the same things, so I get a lot of variety in what I do. Other scientists constantly write reports on what they have done to try and answer a question, so I can sometimes look at my problem from a different perspective and change what I am doing to better answer my questions. I also love working with something as complex as the brain. We hardly know how it works at all but every day we find out a little bit more and we can use that information not only to help people who are sick but also in completely different areas of science like artificial intelligence! Science is awesome 🙂

      I have to agree with Charli. One of the great things about science is that we are constantly learning new things about the world around us. There’s actually something called fact decay where over time more and more of what was considered a fact is disproven or modified.

      It’s also amazing how quickly science is turned into technology. It wasn’t that long ago that we didn’t have computers or the internet but they were discovered and combined to form arguably the most world changing technology since fire or language.

      Hi Delia,
      I agree a lot with Charli and Oliver. The most interesting thing about science is finding out new things. I learn something new nearly every day. Sometimes thats because I’ve discovered something new through my research – those days are great! But I also learn new things by talking to friends at work about their research, or because I have to teach something new to my students.

      I have learnt SO MUCH by doing I’m a Scientist! All your questions have been really interesting. Sometimes I’ve had to look new things up to help me answer the hardest ones. I’ve also learnt a lot by reading the questions you’ve asked to the other scientists.
